Hormones

In Class this week we learned a lot about Hormones. The one i remember the most is the hypothalamus hormones. FSH is the hormone that starts a women's cycle. FSH is short for follicle stimulating hormone. Anterior pituitary is where this starts from . The FSH is stimulated and transfers to the anterior pituitary and through the blood. The blood carries it to the ovaries in which meiosis and mitosis takes place. In meiosis it goes straight to the egg/ovum. During Meiosis it carries to the follicle cells. The follicle cells are enzymes which help produce estrogen then albumin and lastly the uterine lining. Now FSH is the hormone in women which helps keep the monthly cycle in line. Many other proteins help but I'm only getting into that one.

This hormone is Pretty important in my life considering I'm a female. Without FSH i wouldn't be able to have a monthly cycle which would be like menopause. Secondly, i wouldn't be able to produce as much estrogen that i would need to keep my female features. Also, most importantly i wouldn't be able to have kids. Without the FSH i wouldn't be able to undergo meiosis and i wouldn't have eggs to make the baby. If i couldn't have kids someday, i would be completely heartbroken. That's one thing i desperately want out of life, so this would affect me in many, many ways.
